Dishonest Recruitment Service

Insight Global - Dishonest Recruitment Service
Original review Dec 03, 2023
Insight Global contacted me several times, praising "how great my qualifications were and that they had this or that position lined-up JUST FOR ME!" Their teams are usually composed of one recruiter and one accounts' manager, usually females. The recruiters will call and sweeten your ears up, making false promises for a virtual screening with their accounts' managers. On the day of the screening they will suddenly tell you, with their cameras OFF, that their "accounts' manager is running around somewhere and that they could not make it to the meeting." The recruiters will insist on you turning your camera ON, so they may see how you look! That is typical female imagery, associating looks, age, ethnicity, gender, etc. with their delusional perceptions of anything! That situation happened to me at least twice, with two different teams operating from Texas & the Washington, DC area! In both cases, the recruiters alerted me that their accounts' managers were not available and for me to turn my camera ON, while excusing themselves for not being able to turn their own cameras ON. How cunning and discriminatory is that? Now, for the screenings' kicker: They will then inform you that the interview for the great position-in-the sky that they "have lined up JUST FOR YOU," was "granted to another candidate and that you are next-in-line for an interview, if you wish to continue." The recruiters will then go on talking about additional positions that they have lined-up JUST FOR YOU, disappointing your expectations of an initial interview. Insight Global is A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME! Apply directly to the hiring companies, rather than going through with unprofessional Insight Global posers and liars. Just copy and paste a portion of those positions into your browser and the rest is yours.

My understanding, from talking to people who work(ed) for this company, recruiters are hired fresh from college without having any industry experience. They are required to make a specific number of calls to applicants per day, they are required to try to find out manager names of the companies the applicants just left or are trying to leave, so they can try to solicit business from that company.

Any references you give them stand a strong chance of getting a call(s), trying to solicit business.

Recruiters are also required to have a set number of interviews per week with applicants, even when they know they won't ever be placed. I've never worked for this company, but it was has been explained to by people in real life who do or did and I have also read current and former reviews from employees online who say the same thing.

Thank you for sharing your "insights" into Insight Global (IG) - Pun intended. It seems that IG will even hire scuba divers, to dive / dig / explore into potential clients as you have described.

The last IG recruiter I dealt with, has a whole bunch of unrelated menial jobs listed in her LinkedIn profile, ranging from Grading Assistant to Sales Associate to Event Coordinator. I am not going to take away that she was convincing, friendly and enthusiastic, but the overall experience bombed.

I emailed her an image and my PC's link, for her to read how awful that experience was and for her to forward the same to her MIA account's manager. Hopefully their IG's administration is looking into improving their operations.

Ghosted 10 times by this company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Recently I was approached by a recruiter from an Insight Global office out of Atlanta. Had a great conversation with an initial recruiter (rep) who then had me speak to the account manager (mgr) for a second interview. The interview with the mgr went well and I was asked to complete an assessment test. I completed the test and returned it to both the account manager and the initial rep. I never received any acknowledgement that the assessment was received. In fact I've not been contacted by their office since. A week after submitting the assessment test response I called and spoke to the rep who said he'd check on the status and call me back within "24 hours". Several days later I called both individuals as well as sent an email requested feedback. I've yet to receive a call or email response. Having experienced this behavior in the past with recruiters I looked through my contact and email history and realized that, I've been approached ten times by an Insight Global representative over the years. Every email thread ended with me sending a follow up email requesting a status update.

They waste your time!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They kept trying to set me up for interviews that were not matching my skill set or that had already been filled. They wasted my time and the time of the interviewers on multiple occasions. They show up late or don't show up at all for meetings. I had multiple representatives calling me for the same position or just pestering me to get reference contact info that they likely sell. I will not be working with this company, they just wasted a lot of my time even after I told them I was not interested in the position they were offering.

Unethical firing

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I was working on a three-week assignment and the last day before the end of the assignment I was told not to go to work because somebody had complained about me at work. No other information was given. I called the company and spoke to my recruiter the next day and asked if I was fired and they said no. I called them the next two weeks and ask them if I was fired each time along with asking for work and they said no. Then I did not hear from them again. When I applied for unemployment about 8 months in June when my savings ran out, they said nothing about me being fired to the state employment agency. I had received all my benefits when they ran out, then Insight Global claimed that I was fired for cause. The state employment agency investigated, and I told them that I was never notified by phone call by email or by postal mail that I was ever terminated. The state employment agency found that I was terminated for a non employment performance issue, and so I was determined to be able to receive unemployment benefits. I saw a recent poster with the Joker from Batman on it and it said: "It's called karma and it's spelled Ha Ha Ha!!" ;-)

Complaint

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Oct 12, 2020

I tried to contact Insight Global and received a recording and was asked to record my complaint. I did so and have not heard anything from them.

It seems Insignt Global has this all down pat as they have a designated number for complaints. Must be getting quite a few.

I was placed with Florida Power and Light by Insight Global and my Account Manager was Shelby Hall. I also worked with David Rivera. Interviewed and received a written offer, which I accepted. I went through a complete background investigation, drug screening and physical. all details were worked out any my start date was set for 4 weeks in the future. On the Monday before starting, I was notified by Shelby Hall tat FPL was resending the offer as they were instructed by a Vice President to hire from within. While waiting to start I turned down 4 definite offers and many potential interviews. I also took myself off the market. Insight Global said they would help me find a new job but I have been totally ignored by Insight Global, Shelby Hall and David Rivera.

I ran into the same situation with Insight Global and Shelby Hall. She kept promising me interviews and when I got the interview I was told by the client that they were talking to me only to get Ms.

Hall from continuing to bother them. They apologized to me for Ms Hall's actions.

She said that their copay would never use Insignt Global for recruiting personnel for them. I find it highly unprofessional and unethical.

Horrible firm and people

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Been in the IT industry for over thirty years and have never worked with more unprofessional, inept group of people in my career. I had a chat with both recruiters right off the bat about providing feedback, keeping me informed of what was going on. I interview with the company they sent me to. I get a call from the recruiter right after. I say it went well. Let me know their feedback. Ok. Days go by not a peep. I contact the recruiter. I ya, hey can you send me your last few reviews from your current position. So I sent those over. A week goes by, not a peep. I have to contact them again. The recruiter responds that they are sorry for not giving me an update. Now two weeks after the interview they say they can't reach the client. Hmm. Ya, ok... I ask for any feedback from the client after they reviewed my reviews from my current position. Not a peep. And by the way, my reviews were all stellar and included a promotion. So I knew the client would see that. It's been weeks and I've yet to hear any feedback or a response. Absolute garbage. I told them from day one, good or bad give me updates or if the client wasn't interested anymore, say that. But they chose just to blow me off. So unprofessional and lame. Says alot about the firm.

My understanding is IG only hires people in their early 20s, fresh out of college and with no recruiting background. Some may have previously just worked in restaurants and have zero professional experience or may not have worked at all. They aren't the only ones as Aeroktek is famous for the same hiring practices.

No due to the issue I had

I contacted my recruiter after being switched over to the current company about my last check being short by a few dollars considering I worked the same amount of hours as before so I have not gotten a response since I informed her on how much it was short by I guess since the amount isn't large it's not important but the fact is it's my money and its been a week and still nothing has been resolved so unprofessional.

Unpaid wages

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I am a contractor & had 5 PTO days written into my contract. In June, I took 4 PTO days. The last three paychecks have been incorrect. I have not been paid for those days. I have incurred late & OD fees as a result. I have been fighting for what is rightfully mine. I keep getting the run around and promised things that have not happened. I am currently working with a lawyer to see if this situation qualifies for liquidated damages per the FLSA. I have all text messages, emails, voicemails, documentation, phone calls for the situation. I have spent countless hours/days trying to get this rectified to no avail. I requested the name & number of the legal & HR dept but continue to be ignored and not receive this info. I found out another contractor I just met last Friday is going through the exact same thing with them as well. Many sleepless night and high anxiety. Going to keep fighting through an attorney until this is resolved to my satisfaction. I will NOT be renewing my contract when it is up!

Bad experience totally during hiring process

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I was contacted nby a recruiter from insight global . For 2 days she was all happy about this job she had for me. She even redid my resume for it. Second day that morning she said ok why dont we set up a face time interview at 2 PM so you dont have to drive over here so i aggreed , she said there would be someone else talking to me also. Well 2 PM rolled around and no call i waited till 330 and no call so i emailed to tey and gdt an answer because my time did not seem to be worth anything. I emailed several times just to get a response then i called and asked for the recruiter , and i asked for first and last name. Well she was in back in a meeting and they would have her call me when she was done then waited awhile and called back got different person and i askdd for person by first and last name..well she is on other line but will have her call you when she gets done. Next morning i get a call from office manager who told me all this about oh she had a lunch that ran over all day. SSo she could not use her cell and call me and tell me that we would have to cancel my facetime interview and when she hung up phone she did not hang it up so i got to hear whole office yelling about me calling me names i was called F bomb and many other things yelling accross office so ss soon as she thought she hung up i started recording it and what a slander case this was. Before she actully thought she hung up she said please call my cell phone if you need anything else.......well i texted her cell twice as she told me too and told her i was talking to arrorney and she started tlling me oh theres 2 people by your recruiters name in the office i said and nobody could call me and tell me yesterday that me face time was not going to happe.n and i did say i may have to hire an attorney but according to her it was threats so my time meant nothing. Wasting whole afternoon omn it but oh i got thst tape of them calling me all kinds of stuff whst better slander case than a tape of them cslling mme stuff and she claimed there were 2vpeople by my recruiters name but i asked for her by first and last name so oh man this manager was backpeddling so bad thinking i guess i was a kid i am 55........i still may sue for slander after she says i harrased her and an attorney read all my emails so did a deputy sherriff and nirther saw any threats they are a business so dont go here if they call hang up your time means nothing
